This is Annie Chalklin (nee Mount), and her son - my grandfather, John Frederick Chalklin. He was born 23 October, 1877 in Milton, Kent. The picture was taken in a studio in Reigate, Surrey.

This picture of John Frederick's family must have been taken around 1918. It shows John Frederick in army uniform with his wife Eliza Elizabeth Amy Thaxter. Their children are John (1903), Thomas (1905), Albert (1908), Anne (1912) - my mother, and, on his mother's knee, Joseph (1916).
