I have a number of interests outside pharmacy. My family, of course; photography; gardening; falconry; films; science fiction ("SF" in my day, not the twee "Sci Fi"); science and natural history subjects; computers, and latterly the Internet.

I am also researching my family tree, and this is the main reason for posting a site on the WWW. Although my surname is very common, the two families on my Mother's side have uncommon surnames - Thaxter, and Chalklin. I would be particularly interested to hear from ANY Chalklins or Thaxters, and from any Halls or Woodheads (my paternal grandmother's maiden name) who think they may be related.

Christine, nee Spicer

My wife of 39 years. We met at college - any ex-Sunderland School of Pharmacy, 1965-68 veterans out there? Chris is a locum community pharmacist, and, most important, Mother to our three children.

Cheryl

Our eldest daughter, 27 years old. She graduated from Aberystwyth University in 2002, where she attained a 2:1 in History.

Cheryl got married on 19 November, 2005 to Peter Matthews.

Our middle daughter, 24 years old. She completed her degree course in 2005, in drama, theatre and film studies, at what is now  Winchester University. She also earned a 2:1. 

Lucy

The "baby" of the family, she is 21. She wants to work with animals and has successfully completed an Animal Husbandry course at Sparsholt College, Hampshire.
